
The National Sports Authority (NSA) is gearing up to launch the inaugural Inter-Ministerial, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) Football Tournament in 2025.
At an inaugural meeting on Wednesday, 6 August 2025, held at the NSA Head Office, Executive Director Dr. Emmanuel Saffa Abdulai highlighted the role of sports, particularly football, in fostering collaboration and unity among government institutions. He emphasized that the tournament aims to enhance working relationships among personnel from various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies.
Victor Spain, Director of the Institute of Sports, provided an overview of the event, noting that the NSA has developed preliminary rules and addressed key technical aspects. He encouraged participating MDAs to offer suggestions to ensure the tournament’s success.
The meeting was attended by representatives from several MDAs, including, Office of the Vice President, Parliament of Sierra Leone, Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Information, Ministry of Youth Affairs, Ministry of Fisheries, Ministry of Tourism, Sierra Leone Public Transport Authority (SLPTA), National Revenue Authority (NRA), Audit Service Sierra Leone, Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), Human Resource Management Office (HRMO), The Inter-MDA Football Tournament is set to commence in September 2025, a follow-up meeting is scheduled for two weeks from today to finalize preparations.
