A cloud of mystery has on Friday the 10th October 2025, surrounds the death of 36-year-old Mohamed Fajah Jalloh, who was discovered dead in his rented room at Mount Aureol in Freetown on Friday morning, under suspicious circumstances.
According to neighbors, Jalloh was last seen alive on Thursday evening. The following day, he was found lying motionless on the floor of his room, with visible bloodstains on parts of his body and clothing. Shocked residents immediately alerted the authorities.
Police officers later arrived at the scene to begin preliminary investigations. However, the cause of death remains unclear, as there were no signs of forced entry or immediate evidence of what transpired before his death.
Family members suspect foul play, citing the nature of the blood marks and the unusual silence surrounding the case. They expressed frustration over what they describe as a slow and unsatisfactory police response.
“We believe something terrible happened to our brother,” said one of Jalloh’s relatives. “There has been little progress from the police, and we feel left in the dark about what really happened.”
The family has also raised concerns about the property owners, alleging that they have shown no interest or cooperation since the incident occurred a stance that has only deepened suspicion and grief.
In pursuit of answers, the family has opted to conduct an independent autopsy to establish the exact cause of death and has called on the Sierra Leone Police and other authorities to take urgent action.
Community members in Mount Aureol have described the deceased as a quiet and hardworking individual, making his sudden death even more shocking to those who knew him.
As investigations continue, the public is urging law enforcement agencies to handle the matter with transparency and diligence to ensure justice for Mohamed Fajah Jalloh and closure for his grieving family.
