Musu Bangura, famously known as Musu Pele, was a phenomenal female football star who made her mark as the captain of Sierra Leone’s national female football team, she earned the nickname Pele because of her dazzling skills on the football field that left fans and opponents alike in awe.
But Musu’s talents didn’t stop at football, few Sierra Leoneans know that she also played professional tennis, representing the country at international tournaments, today; she has transitioned into a respected professional tennis umpire, continuing her contribution to the sport.
Beyond her athletic achievements, Musu has been serving as the appointed female representative of the Sierra Leone football association (SLFA), Now, she has declared her intention to run for an elected position at the upcoming SLFA elective congress, given her deep understanding of female football and her dedication to sports development, delegates should strongly consider voting for her.
Musu Pele is not only affable and approachable but also deeply knowledgeable about the challenges and opportunities facing women’s football in Sierra Leone, her passion and experience make her the ideal candidate to further advance female football in the country.
There is definitely something special in the air for female football in Sierra Leone with Musu Pele at the forefront. It’s time to recognize and reward her invaluable contributions to Sierra Leonean sports by supporting her bid in the SLFA elections.
