The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community has clarified belief which majority of Muslims have held since childhood as most of us are taught that the Ahamdiyya Muslims believe in another Prophet besides the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), which we all believe that he is the Khatarman Nabiyyeen (the Seal of the Prophet’s).
This Issue was made clear as the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jammat Sierra Leone will be organizing their 60th Jalsa Salana from the 14th to the 16th February 2025 in Bo. With theme: Listen to the Voice of Heaven, Messiah Has Come.
In an interview with Amir of Ahmadiyya Sierra Leone, Amir Musa Mewa Esq, he stated that the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is a global Islamic movement founded in the 19th century by Mirza Ghulam Ahmad and has long been misrepresented as believing in another prophet after Muhammad (peace be upon him).
He stressed that their belief in the Promised Messiah does not imply the acceptance of another prophet after Muhammad (peace be upon him). Instead, they see Mirza Ghulam Ahmad as a fulfilment of prophetic prophesy of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) that a Mardi will come on the last days to establish the truth and restore justice.
Amir Musa Mewa Esq noted that all the sects believe that the Mahdi will come even though they have different interpretations. The Ahmadi believe that the Mardi has come, whilst the Shi’ite believe that the Mahdi has come, then returned with the hope of coming again and the Sunni believe that the Mardi has not yet born and will come one day. He maintained that this belief is rooted in mainstream Islamic theology and are fully compatible with the Holy Quran and the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
He ended up by reiterating that they Ahmadi believe in the Five Pillars of Islam and the six articles of Faith and accept that Islam is the final and perfect religion for mankind. Above all, they believe in the Holy Prophet Mohammed (SAW) as the Khatarman Nabiyyeen (the seal of the Prophet’s) as he was the one who was the best model for mankind who brought Allah’s final and perfect message for mankind.
