Magistrate Mustapha Briama-Jah of Magistrate Court No.2 in Kenema has on January 29th, 2024, Sentenced one Francis Ndoinjehof Heigbema Section in Kenema to Five years(5yrs.) Imprisonment for Larceny contrary to Sec.2 of the Larceny Act of 1916.
According to the Particulars of Offence, the Accused on October 7th,2023 at Heigbema Section in Kenema, did steal one Techno Spark 10-C Android mobile phone valued Three Thousand, Five hundred New Leones (NLe 3,500.00). Property of Momoh Nyallay. The Accused on the same date and Venue, stole Tecno Spark 7 Android phone valued Two Thousand New Leones (NLe 2,500.00), property of Saffa Bobor Titus.
The Accused pleaded guilty and begged for mercy. He was sentenced to Five years imprisonment.
In another development, Mohamed Dukulay a Sierra Leonean pupil residing at Reservation in Kenema city was Sentenced to Twelve years (12yrs).imprisonment or pay an alternative government fine of One Thousand New Leones (NLe 1,000 00) for unlawful possession Contrary to Sec.13 (1) of Cap 37 as amendment by Sec.5 of Act No.6, 1981.
The Accused on Thursday, January 18,2024 at along Hangha Road in Kenema, was found in possession of One Golden battery reasonably suspected to have been stolen. The Accused pleaded guilty and begged for mercy. He was sentenced to twelve months (12) imprisonment.
The matter were Prosecuted by Police Constables 13536 Moseray and 13576 Fatmata Sillah attached to the Legal and Justice Support Department at the Kenema Police Division respectively whilst the Two Accused Persons were represented by Defence Counsel, Patrick Kamara of Legal Aid Board for Kenema District.
