Cooperating with their Corporate Social Responsibility, the leading mining company in Sierra Leone, Leone Rock Metal Group (LRMG) has donated Eighty Seven Thousands Five Hundred New Leones (NLe87,500) to the Junior Doctors Association Sierra Leone (JUDASIL) to host their General Assembly on Medical and Rehabilitation on Kush/Dinner and Award Night.
The Chairman of the Meeting, Mr. Alusine Kamathor Sesay succinctly intimated all presents about the company’s development strides in Sierra Leone.
The Cooperate Social Responsibility (CSR) Coordinator, Bashir Koroma, spoke about the numerous and impactful supports Leone Rock Metal Group (LRMG) has given to Society and not limited to Education, Health, Agriculture Sport, infrastructure, Youth/ Women Empowerment among others.
In his statement, the Community Relations Manager, Mr. Ansu Momoh talked on livelihood and CSR activity Leone Rock Metal Group has embarked on since its inception to date.
In his keynote address, the Chief Technical Officer of Leone Rock Metal Group (LRMG), Mr. Salim Sillah showered praises on the Right Hon. Former ECOWAS Speaker, Hon. Mohamed Sidie Tunis for his unflinching and diverse support to the company. He went further to say that before LRMG assumed Mining Operations in Sierra Leone met the predecessor Company paying 0.01%, but today, there is no District, LRMG has not supported and impacted.
In her remarks after receiving the cash support on behalf of JUDASIL, Dr. Sylvia Olayinka Blyden openly commended Leone Rock Metal Group (LRMG) for fully funding the Annual Budget for the General Assembly just with a short notice, thus, Leone Rock Metal Group (LRMG) is a credible Mining Company that believes in giving back to society. She underscored the hectic work the Junior Doctors are doing to save lives, which underpins the importance of the Annual Assembly and Award Night.
Giving the vote of thanks, Vice President of Junior Doctors Association Sierra Leone (JUDASIL) unequivocally said that Leone Rock Metal Group is the first institution to support Junior Doctors with such huge amount. He explicitly explained the invaluable sacrifices they are doing ranging from Ebola, Corona Virus, Kush etc, thus, having no time for themselves. He emphasised that Kush is a burden to Society and all hands are needed to totally eradicate it. Being a grateful Association, JUDASIL is ready to give Medical Screening to Leone Rock Metal Group’s Staff free of charge. The Vice President of JUDASIL ended by inviting Leone Rock Metal Group (LRMG) to speak on Kush and to receive an award during their Annual General Assembly/Award Night.
