The new chairman of NaCCED Joseph Munda Bindi has officially started his role as the Chairman of the National Council for Civic Education and Development.
During the handling over ceremony on 6th January, 2025, the outgoing chairman Ibrahim Kalilu Totangi said that he is not only pleased but also emotional as the work of NaCCED started some 6 years ago with the reintroduction of civic education in schools.
Mr. Totangi further highlighted that the work NaCCED has embraced over the years has made its mark thus making NaCCED a household name.
Responding to Mr Totangi, Incoming Chairman, Mr Bindi said that succeeding him is an honor and he thanked President Bio for giving him an opportunity to serve the country.
Chairman Bindi pointed out that the work of civic education is needed in order for the big five game changers to succeed as civic education is the answer to the development of Sierra Leone.
