Harrbour Police Division Nabs 3 More Notorious Kush

By Michaella Faith Wright

In a significant and meticulously executed operation, the Harbour Police Division has struck a decisive blow against the illicit drug trade, apprehending three notorious Kush dealers. These individuals, long suspected and under constant surveillance by the division’s dedicated intelligence team, were found in possession of substantial quantities of Kush, a potent form of cannabis known for its widespread illicit use.

The apprehended suspects represent a cross-section of the local community, highlighting the pervasive nature of the Kush trade in Freetown. Foday Bangura, alias Pa Foday, aged 33, hailing from Quarry, Up Cold Water, off Blackhall Road, Freetown, was caught with an astonishing 305 wraps of Kush. Yusif Kamara, aged 37, a resident of Peace Market, Ferry Junction, Freetown, was found with 58 wraps of the illegal substance. Meanwhile, Amadu Kallay, aged 24, residing at 3 Belmoh Street, off Kamara Bar in the east end of Freetown, was discovered with 33 wraps of Kush, all without lawful authority.

The success of this operation can be attributed to the tireless efforts and strategic planning of the Harbour Police Division, particularly under the leadership of Inspector Alpha Umaru Jalloh, the division’s Operations Officer. Inspector Jalloh’s unwavering commitment to eradicating the Kush trade has earned him widespread respect and admiration, with residents of the Harbour community affectionately referring to him as “Inspector Dragon.”

Integral to the division’s success is the unwavering support and cooperation received from various communities within their jurisdiction. Through collaborative efforts and a shared determination to rid their neighborhoods of the scourge of drugs, residents have played a crucial role in assisting law enforcement authorities in identifying and apprehending individuals involved in illicit activities.

As the suspects and the confiscated exhibits undergo thorough investigation at the Harbour Police Division, this operation stands as a testament to the division’s ongoing commitment to combatting drug trafficking and consumption in the region. While challenges persist, the successful outcome of this operation represents a significant milestone in the collective effort to uphold law and order and safeguard the well-being of the community.
