Guinean Ambassador to Sierra Leone, HE M. Karamoko Kerfala Sylla together with his staff has, on 30th May, 2024, visited Bread Avenue Academy at its headquarters at Wellington, East of Freetown.
The visit comes following graduation of eighty-six students from the Bread Avenue.
Welcoming the delegation, the General Manager of Sonoco -Sierra Leone, Mark Pritchard, expressed thanks and appreciation to the Ambassador and his team for what he considered a timely visit. He urged the students to be more focused especially those doing entrepreneurship, saying his institution will work in concert with the embassy to support more students.
The Bread Academy Manager, Abdul Sery, commended the Ambassador and his team for their visit, saying it is a laudable venture to guide and mentor their students. He also urged students to take the scholarship very seriously. On his part, His Excellency Ambassador M. Karamoko Kerfala Sylla stated that he was very happy to visit the Bread Avenue Academy and commended Sonoco – Sierra Leone for providing such opportunities to young Sierra Leoneans to study the carousel courses at free of cost something, he said, the company is ensuring a brighter future for the young people. “You are all future ambassadors of Sonoco-Sierra Leone” he told students. He pledged the embassy’ s willingness to support the company and students whenever there is a need.
Ms Ganina Yeressy, in charge of Cultural Affairs, expressed joy to see more women entering into a learning environment.
- Oumar Diallo, who is responsible for Economic and Commercial Affairs at the embassy, congratulated the students and urged them to master the courage whilst they try to pursue academic excellence, stressing that bread is a Godgift and that in some countries bread is a staple food. He said the embassy is always open to students.
