Finance Minister Sheku Fantamadi Bangura

Sierra Leone’s Finance Minister, Sheku Ahmed Fantamadi Bangura will today (15/11/24) present the FY2025 Government Budget and Statement of Economic and Financial Policies at the Chamber of the Parliament of Sierra Leone.

Vote Controllers/Heads of Parastatals and State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) are expected to be in attendance.

The Finance Minister is expected, among other things, to present the country’s economic outlook in the context of the post-COVID-19 economic recovery programme. “This year’s budget is likely to announce polices and priorities geared towards helping President Bio’s Government to deliver on his Flagship Big Five Game Changers, not least ‘Feed Salone’  which is set to transform Sierra Leone not only to a food secure country but one that would see a massive scale-up of an export-led agricultural productivity”, an academic who prefers anonymity told Expo Times.
