
His Excellency President Dr. Julius Maada Bio has welcomed Her Excellency Rasha Soliman Mohi Eldin Soliman, the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Sierra Leone, at State House, Freetown, for high-level talks aimed at deepening bilateral relations.
On Friday, 12 September 2025 During the meeting, Ambassador Soliman reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with Sierra Leone across multiple sectors, including agriculture, defence, infrastructure, ports, and fisheries areas highlighted during President Bio’s state visit to Egypt in March 2025. She commended the progress made in implementing the agreements signed during that visit and emphasized Egypt’s dedication to ensuring these initiatives yield tangible results.
The Ambassador also extended a personal invitation from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to President Bio to attend the inauguration of the Grand Egyptian Museum, located on the Giza Plateau adjacent to the Great Pyramids. The museum is poised to become the world’s largest archaeological museum dedicated to a single civilization.
President Bio expressed his gratitude to President El-Sisi and the Egyptian government for their continued partnership, describing the relationship as rooted in history, mutual respect, and shared aspirations for development. He reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that the bilateral agreements benefit both nations and enhance the welfare of their citizens.
The President also thanked Egypt for the invitation to the museum’s opening, calling it a symbol of global heritage, knowledge, and cultural excellence.
