The electricity distribution and supply authority (EDSA) Kono Station, through [ublic relations officer Mohamed Sillah, issued an external outage notice addressing power disruptions in Koidu Township and surrounding communities.
After a detailed investigation with teams at Bekongor and Nimikoro Stations, EDSA identified two critical causes, the first is a suspected fault along the CLSG TRANSCO transmission line from Ivory coast, a vital component of the power supply, the second is a damaged 33kV feeder line between Nyamudu and Venima villages in Nimikoro chiefdom, caused by a severed shield wire, hindering swift restoration.
EDSA appeals for patience from affected customers as it collaborates with Bekongor and Nimikoro teams to resolve these issues efficiently, we regret the inconvenience to your daily lives, businesses, and activities, the notice states, assuring a dedicated effort to restore reliable power promptly. As Koidu residents navigate this challenge, EDSA’s commitment to a stable energy supply remains unwavering.
