Superintendent George Momoh has been appointed as the new Local Unit Commander (LUC) for the Eastern Police Division. He had worked for Mongoe Town Community. Superintendent Momoh brings a wealth of experience to his new role and has expressed commitment to fostering peace and security within the community.

Speaking to Expo Times, Superintendent Momoh called on key stakeholders and youth groups to join hands in achieving sustainable peace. “By working together with stakeholders and youth groups, we will be able to create a safer and more peaceful environment for everyone,” he said.

The newly appointed LUC emphasized his strong stance against drug-related activities, declaring a policy of zero tolerance. He pledged to work closely with key partners to monitor and address any issues affecting the community. “Drugs have no place in our society, and I will collaborate with partners to ensure we identify and address these challenges head-on,” he stated.

Superintendent Momoh also assured the public of his proactive approach to leadership, promising to work directly with his team in the field rather than remaining confined to his office. “I will not sit in my office. I will go out with my team to engage the community, listen to concerns, and take action to make meaningful progress,” he affirmed.

His appointment has been met with optimism from community members who believe his hands-on leadership style and focus on collaboration will bring positive changes to the Eastern Police Division.
