His Excellency Ambassador Mahamat Paba Salé, the Ambassador of Cameroon to Russia and Dean of Africa Ambassadors in the Russian Federation, on Tuesday 1st October, 2024, paid a courtesy call on his counterpart, His Excellency Mohamed Yongawo.
Ambassador Yongawo expressed gratitude to the Dean for his visit to the Republic of Sierra Leone Embassy in Moscow.
During their meeting, HE Yongawo outlined President Bio’s Five Big Game Changers, which includes Food Security, Information Technology, Civil Service Reform, and Human Capital Development through Education.
The two diplomats discussed issues related to the Common African Agenda, where Sierra Leone has used its presidency to advocate for the reform of the UN Security Council and global peace and security at the recently concluded UN General Assembly in New York.
Sierra Leone and Cameroon have played instrumental roles in the African Union and at the UN in promoting peace, as well as advancing the rights of women and youth.
They reflected on the longstanding cordial bilateral relations between Sierra Leone and Cameroon.
The diplomats concluded their discussion by addressing the welfare of ambassadors and the friendly atmosphere that exists under the leadership of Ambassador Mahamat Paba Salé as Dean in the Russian Federation.
