In a time when integrity, transparency, and effective leadership are vital to public service, commissioner of Police (CP) Abdul Moijueh has been recognized as Sierra Leone’s Best director of traffic for 2025, honoring his remarkable contributions to road safety and institutional reform.
The award acknowledges CP Moijueh’s transformative leadership of the Sierra Leone Police force’s traffic Division, where his efforts have led to a substantial decline in traffic accidents and a notable improvement in officer conduct and public compliance.
CP Moijueh’s leadership has completely transformed the traffic system in Sierra Leone,” said Assistant Commissioner Joseph K. Kallon, his hands-on style and deep community engagement have made a lasting and visible impact.
Since assuming office, CP Moijueh has prioritized a people-centred approach, often joining his officers on the streets of Freetown and other major cities. His method emphasizes not just law enforcement but education, dialogue, and mutual respect between officers and the communities they serve.
Under his direction, the traffic division has introduced a series of reforms, including, Regular public awareness campaigns on road safety, enhanced training for traffic officers, Stronger communication between traffic authorities and road users, these initiatives have resulted in smoother traffic flow, improved discipline on major roads, and a shift in public attitudes toward traffic police.
His efforts have not only reduced traffic incidents but have also reshaped public perception of the police,” said Haja Mariama Sesay, a community leader in eastern Freetown, he is living proof that leadership built on integrity and action can inspire national change.
The accolade presented to CP Moijueh reflects more than individual excellence, it signals a broader movement within the Sierra Leone Police Force toward accountability, service, and community partnership.
As traffic management continues to play a critical role in urban development and public safety, CP Moijueh’s example stands as a model for law enforcement leadership in Sierra Leone and beyond.
