Two Bike riders, Amidu Challey of Lambaya Layout in Kenema with Registration Numbers AXD ,618 TVS Motorcycle and Ansu Jayah, resident of Dodo town in lower bambara Chiefdom, Kenema judicial district, have on January 21, 2026, sent to the Sierra Leone Correctional centre (SLCC) by His worship, Magistrate Hadiru Daboh of magistrate Court No.1 in Kenema for Committing traffic offences. The two Bike riders were sent to the SLCC for a jail term of Six (6) Months Imprisonment or pay an alternative Government fine of Three Thousand, Five Hundred New Leones (NLe 3,500/00).

According to the prosecuting officer, PC 13492 Tonya Musa, Amidu Challey was apprehended and charged to Court on the afformentioned date at Hangha Road in Kenema on four count charges. Riding an unlicensed Motorcycle, riding an uninsured Motorcycle, Riding when not covered by the third-party Insurance policy and for carrying more than one pillon on a Motorcycle. A Defendant, Amidu Challey, pleaded guilty to the charges and was sent to the Sierra Leone correctional Centre in Kenema or pay an alternative government fine of Two Thousand New Leones (NLe 2,000/00). Ansu Jayah of Dodo Town, Lower Bambara Chiefdom in the Kenema District was arraigned before His Worship, Magistrate Hadiru Daboh  for committing similar offences. He was apprehended and charged to Court along Tongo-Kenema main motor road on Three Counts ranging from Riding an unregistered Star TVS Motorcycle, riding an unlicensed Star TVS motorcycle, to Riding an uninsured Motorcycle. He pleaded guilty to all charges and was sent to the SLCC in Kenema for three months Imprisonment or pay an alternative government fine of One Thousand, Five Hundred New Leones (NLe 1,500/00)
