Two accused persons, Augustine Foday Kamara dwelling at No.6 Wah-man Abu Road and Ishmael Foulah residing at Forestry Quarters all of Kenema City have been sentenced to ten years imprisonment by Magistrate Mustapha Briama-Jah of Magistrate Court No.2 in Kenema for Kush.
The two were charged to court for prohibition of possession and use of drugs contrary to Sec. 8(a) of the National Drugs Control Act No.10 of 2008.
According to prosecution, the accused, Augustine Foday Kamara on Friday, July 5, 2024 at the aforementioned place in Kenema city, he was found in possession of twenty-three wraps of Kush. He pleaded guilty and begged for mercy and was sent to the Sierra Leone Correctional Service (SLCS) in Kenema for 5yrs. Imprisonment.
Ishmael Foulah of forestry quarters in Kenema was jailed for five years in prison for Kush. The accused on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at How-For-Do Lorry park in Kenema was found in possession of twenty-three wraps of Kush. He pleaded guilty and begged for mercy and was sent to jail at the SLCS for 5yrs. Imprisonment.
The matters were prosecuted by Inspector Aiah Mafinda Teh and Police Constable 13536 Fornah Zainab attached to the Legal and Justice Support Department at the Kenema Police Station respectively.
