A Sierra Leone military major, Mark Sulaiman Densie, and his girlfriend, Isata Bella Jalloh, now face arrest after failing to appear in court on Tuesday, April 8, 2025. Charged via a private criminal summons, the pair confront four counts: assault occasioning actual bodily harm, wounding, threatening language, and attempting to choke stemming from a violent clash in Aberdeen, Freetown, on November 12, 2024.

The charges paint a brutal scene. Prosecutors allege that Densie intentionally assaulted Isatu Deen Bangura in full public view, striking her with force that left her with a aching jaw and a reportedly broken upper tooth, violating Section 47 of the Offences Against the Person Act of 1861. On the same day, he’s accused of maliciously wounding a second complainant under Section 20 of the same act.

‘’Jalloh, meanwhile, faces her own reckoning. She allegedly hurled threats at both victims Ah go teach una lesson, wait small en see, ah go pepper una all words charged as provocative under Section 3(ii) of the Public Order Act of 1965. The fourth count escalates further: Jalloh is accused of attempting to choke the second complainant, aiming to overpower her, per Section 21 of the 1861 Act.’’

When the case was called before Magistrate Bangura, lawyer S.R. Bangura Esq., representing the complainants, confirmed their presence. Densie and Jalloh, however, were nowhere to be seen. Defense counsel swiftly requested a bench warrant a legal lasso to haul the absent pair into custody. Magistrate Bangura didn’t hesitate, granting the order and adjourning the matter to April 24, 2025.

The warrant casts a shadow over Densie, a major in the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces, and Jalloh, thrusting their alleged actions into a stark spotlight. For the complainants, it’s a step toward justice after a public ordeal. For the court, it’s a test of accountability no rank or relation can dodge the laws reach, as Freetown buzzes with the news, the next date looms. Will the accused surface, or will the warrant reel them in the answer waits in April.
