The Parliament Christian Fellowship Sierra Leone has on Thursday, March 20, 2025 gestured Hon. Segepoh Solomon Thomas, Speaker of the sixth Parliament of Sierra Leone with a cash amounting to Ten Thousand Leones (Le 10,000) for the ongoing construction of the Church edifice in Parliament.
Presenting the cash to the Speaker of Parliament, the team lead who doubles as the Deputy Clerk of Parliament Gilbert Bosco N’habay said, ‘the construction is a legacy for the current administration’, noting the fellowship was doing the donation in order to support and complement the effort of Parliament in the ongoing construction project.
Mr. Gilbert noted that in a short period of time, the membership had grown and that most often Pastors and other Men of God are invited to preach and teach the word of God through fellowship in Parliament. He added that even Parliamentary leaders and other Members of Parliament are now participating in the Parliament Christian fellowship.
Receiving the donation, the Speaker expressed gratitude to the Parliament Christian fellowship team for the gesture. He said the donation would go directly to the alter of God while he assured the team of his full support as the Leader of Parliament. “As Christians, when you contribute to establish in the alter of God, it will go down to generations, “he stated
It is believed that adhering to the word of God is essential for the spiritual and developmental growth of society.
This donation will help Parliament to complete the construction of the church without delay.
Madam Fatmata Finda Bangura, deputy director of human resource, Parliament of Sierra Leone who is also a member of the Parliament Christian fellowship concluded the engagement with prayer.
