A woman identified as FA, a resident of Murray Town Barracks, has allegedly beaten a 5-year-old girl, leaving the child with wounds and body pain.

The merciless beating is said to have happened because the victim is reported to have taken food from a pot to eat, unknown to the accused. The child’s act is said to have happened after the accused deprived her of eating throughout the day.

The 5-year-old girl was said to have been recently brought in from the village by the accused to help her with domestic work.

According to an eyewitness, the reported beating was just one of several usual child abuse acts the accused aunt meted on the poor little girl in the name of discipline.

It was reported that the accused boasts of her connections with influential people, stating that her husband is a senior military officer and that no one can do anything to her, not even the police. She is however reported to be in police net helping the police with investigations.
