Bo is the second capital city of Sierra Leone. Geographically it is located in almost in the middle of Sierra Leone which is why it is cosmopolitan. After the war the city saw rapid expansion in size as most people displaced by the war who came to safety never returned. And with Bo now home to a university and one more in waiting the city is becoming a hub for business. As it provides basic amenities like improved electricity, water supply, good roads and booming hospitality industry the city is becoming attractive.

As recent as last week a business center has been opened close to the police station at Stock road . And this business center aims to reduce the stress of traveling to Freetown to get quality goods.” This enterprise consists of groceries, ladies’ and men’s wears, toiletries and a parlour for manicure. ” These are made in America goods, said the chairman of the opening ceremony and they plan to be doing whole sale in future. It is a family business and is opened by a young entrepreneur. ” I am giving back to my country of birth and I want this to be an inspiration to other young people living at home and abroad as I believe they can do better with their lives and whatever little resources they have.” This business referred to as J- Bliss is one of many small scale businesses opened within the township of Bo which transforming the city and turning it into a tourist attraction.
