The High Court in Kenema, presided over by the High Court Judge, Hon. Justice Francis Banks-Kamara has on February 7, 2024 issued Bench warrant of arrest whereas Sheku Abdulai Kamara stands charged with the offence of failing to attend Court. The warrant is to produce the Accused in court on February 14, 2024.

Sheku Abdulai Kamara is the Assistant finance officer of the Eastern Technical University, Sierra Leone (ETU-SL).

At the Criminal Session of the High Court in Kenema, on the 29th January, 2024, the Court was  informed by the Commissioner of the Anti-Corruption Commission(ACC) that Sheku Abdulai Kamara was charged with offences ranging from Count one, Misappropriation of Public Act, No. 12 of 2008 as amended by the Anti-Corruption(amendment) Act,2019 to Count 26,  Misappropriation of Public Revenue, contrary to Sec. 36(1) of the Anti-corruption Act No. 12 of 2008 as amended by the Anti-Corruption (amendment) Act, 2019.

The Accused being the Assistant finance officer of ETU-SL, Kenema on a date unknown between January 2021 to December, 2023 at the ETU Campus, Kenema in the Eastern province of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Misappropriated Public funds, money received from Twenty-Six (26) Students as Tuition fees for the latter at the ETU.

The matter is Prosecuted by Adrian B.C. Samuel Esq of Anti-Corruption Commission whilst the accused is represented by defence Counsel, Victor Sheku Samuel Ansumana.
