In a bid to crack down the notorious act of armed robbers, the Operations Team of the Sierra Leone Police Division led by Sergeant Jalloh embarked on a sting operation in a hideout within Waterloo township where a notorious Armed Robber, Alimamy Kargbo who was found in possession of a pistol laded with seven live rounds, was arrested.
Waterloo is known to have been hosting criminals of all kinds, and such nature of a town known to accommodate criminals and by extension armed robbers has a ripple effects on the town and residents living in that part of the country as this criminals will create fears and apprehensions on intending investors and which effects result in high unemployment rate for the youths in that areas because the investors who may have the tendency to give jobs to the youths are being scared by the criminal activities.
This sting operation is ongoing pursuant to reliable intelligence received that an armed robbery group had entered Waterloo Township, in order to wreak havoc on the lives of peaceful citizens. The people of that community also have roles to play in order to wipe out the intending danger that have the proclivity to affect thousands of lives of youths in that part of the country. These issues should be taken seriously by the Waterloo stakeholders and which if not taken seriously has the tendency to endanger the lives of the residents in that part of the country.
The community leaders should implement laws to see that such issues are put into a stop. The leaders should ensure that before accommodating strangers such person should be taken to the necessary authorities for thorough scrutiny and upon satisfaction of such person, he can legally this is done in order to curb the unnecessary accommodating of strangers.
The other area again the leadership authorities of that community should increase is in the area of alarming intelligence. The community members should increase intelligence in any criminal activities going on in that community, as this will serve as means to mitigate the act of criminality.
