Ambassador yongawo Present Letter of credence to serbian

His Excellency, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Sierra Leone to the Russian Federation, Mohamed Yongawo, on July 5, 2024, presented his letters of credence to the President of Serbia, His Excellency Alexandar Vucic, in Belgrade, Serbia.

In his brief address to the Non-Residential Ambassadors, His Excellency Alexandar Vucic pointed out: “There are no big or small countries for Serbia, only friends and partners with whom we want to build a common future. On this path, diplomacy plays a key role as the strongest link in strengthening relations between nations.”

The President added: “Each ambassador brings with them rich experience, a unique perspective, energy, and expertise, which enrich our united efforts towards mutual growth and prosperity. I emphasized that through dialogue, cooperation, and commitment to common goals, we can renew old friendships, strengthen ties, intensify contacts, and more easily face common challenges while seizing opportunities for progress and forging new paths of cooperation in trade, investments, culture, and other areas of interest for all our citizens.”

In his brief discussions with His Excellency Alexandar Vucic, Ambassador Mohamed Yongawo outlined President Bio and the Government of Sierra Leone’s priority areas: Feed Salone – Agriculture, Energy, Youth Employment, and others.

Following the presentation of credentials, Ambassador Yongawo held productive bilateral meetings with the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Foreign Trade and Investment, Ministry of Agriculture, and Ministry of Mines and Energy. Meetings were also held with individuals in the business community.

The Sierra Leonean diplomat extended invitations to visit Sierra Leone, pointing out several attractive investment opportunities.

H.E. Yongawo emphasized that Sierra Leone is open for investment and safe for investors.
