Forty-six-year-old contractor Musa Koroma, alias Number One, appeared once again before Magistrate Augustine Brima Samura at Pademba Road Court No. 8, facing a series of serious charges related to an alleged theft spree. The accused is confronted with seven counts, including one charge of Conspiracy to Commit a Crime, specifically Larceny, alongside six additional counts of Larceny and one count of Malicious Damage, as outlined under the Larceny Act 1916 and the Malicious Damage Act 1861.

The particulars of the offense allege that on Friday, March 14, 2025, along Adonkia Road, Loko Fakia, Goderich, in the Western Area of Freetown, Koroma conspired with unknown individuals to commit the crime of Larceny. The prosecution detailed a series of thefts targeting multiple victims on the same date and location.

Count two specifies that Koroma stole cash amounting to 3,500 Leones, a large cool box, a small cool box, and other assorted items valued at a total of 12,620 Leones, all belonging to Mohamed Abu Bakarr Jalloh. Count three alleges the theft of a 21-inch smart TV plasma, a black standing fan, and other items worth 5,400 Leones from Amara Mohamed Sheriff. Count four claims the accused took a foam mattress, a rubber bucket, and other items valued at 6,000 Leones from Abass Koroma. Count five details the theft of four pairs of creps, two black packs, and other assorted items totalling 20,750 Leones from Umarr Daboh. Count six accuses Koroma of stealing a set of cooking pots, a matarodo, and other items worth 450 Leones from Aminata Sheriff. Finally, count seven charges him with maliciously damaging three makeshift structures valued at 50,000 Leones, property of Foday Osman Daboh.

When the charges were read and explained to Koroma, no plea was taken, indicating the case’s early stage. Detective Police Constable 14998 Joseph C. Dumbuya, the prosecutor, requested a short adjournment to allow his next prosecution witness to testify. Magistrate Samura granted the request, adjourning the matter to June 19, 2025, with bail conditions for the accused remaining in place.
