On Sunday, April 27, 2025, Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Francis Brima Meinday spoke to the local unit commanders (LUCs) of Freetown-East’s five police divisions East End, Harbour, Kissy, Grafton, and Waterloo, he said teamwork is the key to good policing, according to 2025 Sierra Leone Police (SLP) records.
AIG Meinday praised the LUCs for keeping peace in their areas. No police officer can work alone, he said, we are strong when we share information, help each other, and work with the community, let’s build trust, talk openly, and act honestly, together, we can make our communities safer, his words support SLP’s 2025 plan to work closer with people.
He thanked the Kissy Division LUC for holding successful area policing partnership committee elections, which help police and communities work together, per 2025 division reports, teamwork is the heart of policing, Meinday said, let’s unite to serve and protect well, the LUCs promised to team up with each other and the community to fight crime and solve problems,
