The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has recently indicted one Frank Williams and Fatmata Madallo Sesay on five counts of corruption charges.
In a press release dated Monday, July 1, 2024, the Anti-Corruption Commission informed the general public that it has filed an indictment against Raymond Frank Williams, First Grade Officer, in the Law Officers Department of the Attorney General who resides at 121 Kissy Road, Freetown and Fatmata Madallo Sesay a resident of Thaimu Bangura Drive, Barbadorie, Freetown, on Five (5) Counts of corruption offences.
“Fatmata Madallo Sesay is indicted on 1 Count of giving an advantage to a public officer contrary to Section 28 (1) (c), and 1 count of offering an advantage to a public officer contrary to Section 35 (2) of the Anti-Corruption Act No. 12 of 2008 as amended by the Anti-Corruption (Amendment) Act No. 9 of 2019,” the release stated, adding that, Willaims is indicted on 1 Count of Accepting an Advantage contrary to Section 28 (2) (c), among other offences.
The release furthered that the particulars of offence states that Fatmata Madallo Sesay, between the dates of 1st and 30th of October, 2022, in Freetown, without lawful authority or reasonable excuse, noting at the same time gave an advantage in the sum of one million, five hundred thousand old Leones to Raymond Frank Williams, a public officer, as an inducement to assist in the filing and registering with the office of the Administrator and Registrar-General, a Testamentary Will, ostensibly prepared by the now deceased Abdul Rahman Sesay.
The Commission, however, assured the general public of its continued resolve to curbing public sector corruption and all levels of corruption in the African Country.
