UNIMTECH is pleased to announce that a distinguished delegation from our university is today embarking on an exciting 5-day study visit to Spain, representing our institution in a prestigious international collaboration. The team comprises four esteemed members of our academic community:

Dr. Peter Umaru Kamara – Team Lead and Principal Investigator
Mrs. Josephine Denise Browne – Deputy Registrar for Human Resources
Mr. Thomas Metzger – Head of Department, Accounting, Banking, and Finance
Mr. Osman Kemoh Sesay – Head of Department, Development Studies

This strategic visit forms part of the groundbreaking “Sierra Leone Education in Entrepreneurship Pedagogy Project Skills” (SLEEK PROJECT), a collaborative initiative among UNIMTECH, three partner universities, Innovation SL, and several European Union partners. The SLEEK PROJECT funded by the European Union, which commenced on January 15, 2025, will continue its vital work until January 14, 2028.

UNIMTECH stands to gain invaluable insights and expertise from this international exchange, which will be thoughtfully integrated into our curriculum and institutional practices.

The team will acquire cutting-edge exposure to global best practices, gain hands-on experience with innovative teaching methodologies, and learn transformative approaches to nurturing entrepreneurial mindsets within Sierra Leone’s Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).

This international engagement represents a significant opportunity for our four colleagues to acquire tremendous experience and expertise that will benefit UNIMTECH and help reshape the entrepreneurship ecosystem throughout Sierra Leone, creating lasting impact for generations to come.
