Sierra Leone's Internal Affairs Minister Joins Global Security

 

The Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Sierra Leone *Major General Rtd. David T.O Taluva* is among delegates from over 106 Countries from all corners of the world attending the *Twelve XII International Meeting of High- Ranking Officials Responsible for Security Matters in Saint Petersburg, Russian Federation’.*

The Minister arrived in Russia on Monday 23/04/24 accompanied by *Mr. John Bosco Momoh Assistant Secretary at the Ministry of Internal Affairs.* Also in St. Petersburg is *His Excellency Ambassador Mohamed Yongawo who received the Minister.*

The meeting is taken place under the auspices of His *Excellency President Vladimir Putin, since 2010, the Russian Security Council has held this meeting as an avenue of discussing pressing global security issues and possible means of  addressing emerging challenges.*

The high-powered meeting is attended by Secretaries of Security Councils, National Security Advisers, Deputy Prime Ministers, Ministers, Heads of Security and Intelligence Agencies, as well as representatives of International organizations.

*Nikolai Patrushev Secretary of the Security Council of Russia Federation is the host of the St. Petersburg conference.

During the two days meeting, participants will be discussing a wide range of issues, including Cyber Security and ensuring information security in the polycentric world order.

The delegates and experts will also be discussing the preservation of national identity and traditional values as an indispensable element of maintaining global security, peace, and stability.
