The war between America/ Israel versus Iran has had consequences on lives across the globe and almost every citizen in the world is paying high price for it. It has exposed that our reliance on oil needs to be reviewed. There exists other means of energy like solar energy, wind energy, hydro, etc. And the world needs to vigorously explore these alternative means of energy so we don’t find ourselves in situation where ,when our heavy reliance on oil as energy is frustrated we get trapped. Why stick with one form of energy when other sources beg for our attention? Due to our heavy reliance on oil the producers deliberately hoard them, thereby creating artificial scarcity to keep the price high.

While solar energy has been making some progress in that direction, wind energy which is a potential alternative has lagged behind. Monopoly in the market always has its grave disadvantages and in these modern age where our energy use has increased and needs sustaining , we must vigorously seek alternative energy. Variety is the spice of life, they say and we must shift our efforts to ensure that oil- producing countries do not hold our lives to ransom when possible alternatives in especially wind and solar energy exist.

There is a huge beauty and advantage in seeking alternative energy. While the use of oil is contributing to the depletion of the ozone layer and causing unusual excessive heat on earth the other forms of energy are safe to use as they are polluting our atmosphere with excessive carbon dioxide( Co2). Living in an environmentally safe world and possibly easing the economic burden on citizens should be pursued by governments around the world. And this can only be made possible by pursuing alternative means of energy especially with solar and wind energy
