The Technical Working Group established to review the Sierra Leone Water Company (SALWACO) Act of 2017 today continued its stakeholder engagements as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the company’s legal and operational framework.

The review process, spearheaded by the Ministry of Water Resources and Sanitation in collaboration with key stakeholders across the water sector, brings together representatives from various institutions to examine and propose amendments to the Act in line with current sector realities and national development priorities.

During today’s session, members of the Technical Working Group deliberated on critical provisions of the Act aimed at enhancing institutional efficiency, improving service delivery, strengthening regulatory compliance, and promoting sustainable water supply management across the country.

The engagement forms part of the Government’s broader commitment to ensuring that SALWACO operates within a robust and modern legal framework capable of responding effectively to the growing water needs of communities nationwide.
