Chief Minister Receives UPdate From Steering Committee on Implementation of Tripartite Report

Chief Minister of Sierra Leone, Dr. David Moinina Sengeh on Tuesday, 27th August, 2024, received update from the steering committee on the implementation of the recommendations of the Tripartite Report.

It could be recalled that on 29th July, 2024, the steering committee, comprising 18 members including media and civil society organizations (CSOs), held its inaugural meeting to implement the recommendations of the Cross-Party Committee on Electoral System and Management Bodies Review Report, dubbed β€˜the tripartite report’.

Chief Minister said the meeting was to discuss the ways of implementing the recommendations of the tripartite report, adding that terms of reference (TOR) of the committee members have been adopted and the secretariat will be established soon.

He urged the committee members to expedite the process ahead of the official launch of the implementation of the recommendations of the tripartite report.

β€œPlans are underway to employ legal, finance, and communications experts at the secretariat of the steering committee. Institutional development experts and public sector analysts will be employed also. We should also discuss the timeline for the implementation of the recommendation of the tripartite committee,” he explained.
