The Sierra Leone Police (SLP) on the 2nd October 2025 has officially declared three former employees of Freetown International Airport, Lungi, as wanted in connection with an alleged drug trafficking conspiracy.

The suspects have been identified as Lawrence Dumbuya, Prince Sowa, and Bai Burreh Kamara. Police reports indicate that the trio is wanted for conspiracy to commit a felony, specifically drug trafficking.

The SLP is appealing to the public to come forward with any information that could assist in their arrest. Authorities have also announced that a substantial reward will be offered to anyone providing credible leads that lead to the suspects’ capture.

Through its Media and Public Relations Unit, the Sierra Leone Police has urged citizens to actively support the investigation by reporting any relevant information. The police stressed that public cooperation is vital in bringing the suspects to justice and curbing illegal activities that threaten national security.

The investigation remains ongoing, and the SLP has assured the public that updates will be provided as new developments occur.
